Business Analysis Curriculum

A clear, unambiguous specification of business requirements is a necessary pre-condition to any effective, automated business solution, regardless of technology. Business Modelling, whether using Information Engineering or Object-Oriented techniques, delivers on that requirement. In addition, it provides the foundation for today’s popular business process re-engineering, workflow modelling and data warehousing initiatives.

Our Business Modelling curriculum is based on years of research and numerous successful project assignments. The courses present a synthesis of theory and practical application of various analysis and design techniques. These “cookbook”-style courses are rich in material and give you the power to make theory work in practice. You will find invaluable material such as estimating metrics for modelling projects and step-by-step instructions for producing quality, definitive information models.

For IT professionals responsible for business analysis and data and systems design there are workshops with extensive case studies to help you gain hands-on experience building business models. For all IT personnel and for members of the business community who wish to understand Business Modelling, there are introductory courses which explain the rationale for using such rigorous techniques, and that position the techniques in the overall systems development life cycle. Additionally, the curriculum offers one-and/or two-day add-on courses in selected tools. These courses are designed to fast-track business and systems professionals into the tool they will be using to document the results of their analysis.
